Bids were opened Monday morning for the Community Crossings Matching Grant project during the Starke County Commissioners meeting.
Three different companies bid on the project that involves repaving Range Road from 300 South to 250 North.
Milestone Contractors North, Inc. had a combined base bid with six total alternatives in the amount of of about $2.1 million. E&B Paving, Inc. submitted a base bid with six total alternatives at a total of about $1.97 million. The final base bid plus alternatives came from Rieth-Riley Construction Co., Inc. at about $1.6 million.
The motion was made to go with Rieth-Riley’s base bid only of about $1.1 million. The Starke County Commissioners approved the bid to move forward with the project.
