The Starke County Park Board announced in their meeting last week that new signs will be installed for Kramer Beach at Koontz Lake.
The board decided in a previous meeting to have signs made, letting the public know it is accessible to all citizens and not a private beach. The signs should be in place this week.
Additionally, Park Board President Richard Ballard said the DNR gave notice to the board about the south pier at Bass Lake. According to the DNR, the Park Board has 15 days to completely take out the south pier to be in compliance with what the permit allows.
The board made clear those demands will be met on time.
