The North Judson Town Council heard an update from Fire Chief Joe Leszek during their meeting last week.
Leszek announced the North Judson-Wayne Township Fire Department’s new 2022 tanker should be delivered at the end of this month. He added they have arranged a Touch a Truck Event on Saturday, October 1. The event will run from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. CT for citizens to come and look at the fire equipment and check out the new truck at the fire house.
Leszek said the fire station will have a training house set up for kids to go through where firefighters will train for an unexpected fire event. Free giveaways including bicycle helmets, a safe kid’s booth, popcorn, and hotdogs will all be on hand for those interested.
