The Knox City Council discussed the railroad crossing at Main and Shield Streets in Knox during their meeting this week.
Knox Mayor Dennis Estok explained through conversations with NIPSCO the crossing cannot be closed. He added NIPSCO uses the crossing and has an agreement where it needs to stay open.
A motion was made to deny the closing and it passed.
