Oregon-Davis Close to Reaching Playground Donation Goal

The Oregon-Davis School Board gave an update on the Elementary School playground project.

A portion of the fundraising for this project stems from Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch and the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA) in a crowdfunding campaign to transform and update Oregon-Davis School Corporation’s elementary playgrounds.

Students will have three improved places to play if this crowdfunding campaign reaches its goal of raising $50,000 by November 1 of this year. If successful, the project led by Oregon-Davis PTA will receive a matching grant as part of the IHCDA’s CreatINg Places program.

As of right now, it is reported the corporation is $4,000 short of reaching their objective.

Funds from this campaign will be used to create obstacle courses, a climbing web, slides, a walking track, and surfacing. This will be the second phase in the project providing this rural community and its residents a place for togetherness, wellness, and play.
