The Winamac Town Council adopted the 2023 budget during their meeting this week.
According to the notice on the Indiana Gateway website, the total budget request is just over $1.6 million with about $1 million in the General Fund, just over $54,000 in the Local Income Fax Fund, $16,000 in the Local Road and Street Fund, the Motor Vehicle Highway Fund will have $159,500, $4,000 in the Continuous Education Fund, the Park Fund is just above $185,000, $5,000 in the Recreation Fund, the Cemetery Fund is set at just above $12,000, the Cumulative Capital Development Fund is $29,000, the Economic Development Income Tax CEDIT Fund has $9,000, and $73,000 set aside for the Sanitation Fund. The Owen Abbott Memorial Parkway Fund is set for $600 and $7,500 for the Fireworks Donation Fund.
Winamac Town Manager Brad Zellers told WKVI News the council voted for the adoption of the 2023 budget passing the final reading and adopting it.
