Starke County Sheriff’s Office Take Part in No Shave November for Just In Case Foundation

The Starke County Sheriff’s Office is inviting citizens to join them in efforts to raise money for the Just In Case Foundation.

The Sheriff’s Office will be raising awareness by not shaving for the entire month of November.

The Just in Case Foundation provides owlet socks to infants born at high risk for Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).

The Just in Case Foundation was founded in honor and in memory of Case Borton, born in March of 2021. Case was only seven weeks old when he died from SIDS while napping in his bassinet. The Just in Case Foundation provides owlet socks to infants born at high risk for SIDS. The Foundation chooses families and gives top priority to those who are at higher risk for SIDS.

Through the Foundation, parents can also book a SIDS & Safety Seminar that include infant and child CPR as well as SIDS information and all participants receive an owlet. The Just in Case Foundation hopes to help many families and even save babies through the use of the owlet sock.

Donations can be given directly to a Starke County Sheriff’s Office deputy or it can be dropped off at the Starke County Sheriff’s Office at 5435 East State Road 8 in Knox.
