Pulaski County Commissioners Approve Bid for Highway Garage Roof

The Pulaski County Commissioners received quotes on the Pulaski County Highway Garage roof during their meeting Monday.

The roof has been leaking for some time in several areas, with water causing damage to tiles and dripping into where government leaders currently hold their meetings.

The estimate from Tonn and Blank Construction to have the roof fixed came in at $211,320. Creekside Coating and Roofing’s quote came in at $204,000.

Pulaski County Community Development Commission Executive Director Nathan Origer said it is not clear that Creekside meets the requirements for most responsive and responsible bidder on the project. He went on to say they did not complete the itemized cost break down included in the bid document or submit the required certified check or bidders bond. Both of which Tonn and Blank provided.

Origer stated he believes Tonn and Blank is the most equipped to handle the project. The commissioners entertained a motion to approve Tonn and Blank’s bid. A motion was made and seconded. The commissioners voted to approve Tonn and Blank’s bid. The vote passed unanimously.
