The Pulaski County Republican Party hosted a Swearing-In Ceremony last week in honor of the newly elected officials for the County, Towns and Townships.
Approximately 50 people attended the ceremony, including newly elected individuals and their families held in the Pulaski Superior courtroom.
Superior Court Judge Crystal Kocher and Circuit Court Judge Mary Welker presided over the ceremony. The Elected County officers taking the oath at the event were Prosecuting Attorney Kelly Gaumer, Sheriff Chris Schramm, Councilmen Jeff Richwine and Jerry Locke, Assessor Holly VanDerAa, Clerk JoLynn Behny, and Surveyor Jenny Weaver.
Additionally, Van Buren Township Trustee Lenora Hoover and White Post Township Trustee Jasmine Bolen were sworn in along with Monroe Advisory Board members MacKenzie Ledley and Isaiah Tidwell. Winamac Town Council members Danyelle Weaver and Alvin Parish and the Francesville Town Clerk Cathy Elston also completed their oaths of office.
As each newly office holder completed their oath it was filed with the Clerk of the Court, JoLynn Behny and Dan Murphy, Pulaski County Republican Chairman acted as Master of Ceremonies for the event. Those taking their oath were charged with the responsibility of performing their duties to the best of their ability and working in the best interest of the community.
Upon completion of the event, a small reception was held at the Celebration Station for the office holders and their families and guests.
