The Winamac Town Council discussed the proposed salary ordinance during their meeting Monday.
Winamac Town Manager Brad Zellers told WKVI News the proposed rate change is $1.50 an hour for all town employees. He added this is a two year salary ordinance that will be up for approval at their next meeting Tuesday, December 20.
The first year will be salary based and the second year will contain additional time off based on employee longevity with the town.
Zellers told WKVI News he is expecting this to pass next Tuesday night.
