The Knox Board of Works heard an update from Street Superintendent Jeff Borg during their meeting Wednesday.
Borg announced 81 dump truck loads, which is 61 tons of leaves were picked up last year. He then stated 253 tons of wood and tree limbs were picked up and 211 tons of leaves were picked up by vacuum.
Borg went on to say the street department has been land clearing at the compost facility to accommodate for more brush in the future. He said they plan to do a controlled burn to stay on top of what all has been collected.
