A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the City of Knox and the Starke County Economic Development Foundation was up for approval during Tuesday’s City Council meeting.
Knox Mayor Dennis Estok stated he believed with all the work SCEDF has accomplished, the city needed to up their normal contribution of $65,000 to $75,000. He mentioned SCEDF continues to help Starke County grow.
SCEDF Executive Director Lisa Dan and SCEDF Executive Assistant Mary Perren were both present at the meeting. They thanked the Mayor and noted they appreciate working with the City of Knox.
A motion was made to approve the increase from $65,000 to $75,000. The motion was seconded and voted on by council members unanimously approving the MOA with SCEDF.
