Oregon-Davis Reorganizes School Board

The Oregon Davis School Corporation reorganized their board on Monday.

Oregon-Davis School Superintendent Bill Bennett told WKVI News Ben Lady was named board President. Lee Nagai will be Vice President and Kurt Hayes will be Secretary.

All five board members unanimously voted to donate their compensation back to the school. Superintendent Bennett stated the money will go into the corporation’s Operations Fund. He said all board members are working for the school free of charge and said it shows their dedication to making Oregon-Davis a better place.

The board appointed Heather Quinn to the Starke County Library Board to finish off the reorganization. It was also announced the school board will now hold their meetings on the first and third Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. CT starting January 18.
