The Starke County Commissioners appointed several new members to various boards and also announced open positions during their meeting Monday.
Starke County attorney Justin Schramm was retained for 2023. Charles Chesak was appointed secretary of the Drainage Board.
Don Binkley was appointed contact for the Starke County Jail. Mark Gourley was appointed contact for the Courthouse and Annex as well as the EMS Department. Charles Chesak was appointed contact for the Highway Department and Landfill.
Mark Gourley was also appointed to the Economic Development Board. Don Binkley was appointed to the K.I.R.P.C board with the commissioners noting there are two vacancies to fill currently.
Mark Gourley was then appointed to the Arrowhead RC&D Board. Charles Chesak was appointed to the Workforce Development Board and then also appointed to the Planning Commission.
Erica Christensen was appointed to the North Judson-Wayne Township Library Board. Carl Goodrich was appointed to the Aviation Board. Dr. Walter Fritz was appointed to the Hospital Community Board.
The commissioners noted there are two vacancies currently for the Alcoholic Beverage Board and the City Planning Commission.
Victoria Chessor was then appointed to the P.T.A.B.O.A Board. Mark Gourley was appointed to the LEPC, Emergency Management and FEMA Boards with Charles Chesak as proxy.
Mary Perren was appointed to the CVC board. The commissioners then noted there are currently eight openings they hope to fill for the CVC.
