City of Knox Has New Director of Building, Planning and Code Compliance

There is a new Director of Building, Planning and Code Compliance for the City of Knox.

It was announced in January that former Director of Building, Planning and Code Compliance Kenny Pfost had been hired as a detective for the Knox City Police Department. City officials conducted interviews for the newly open position throughout January and announced on Tuesday they had made their decision.

City of Knox Clerk-Treasurer Cyndi Kidder told WKVI News Lonnie Boley was hired to be the new Director of Building, Planning and Code Compliance.

As director, Boley will be responsible for all residential and commercial plan reviews and will coordinate all reviews referred to outside consultants. Boley will also oversee on-site inspections of footing, foundation, framing, electrical, mechanical and related inspections of both new and existing buildings for compliance with approved plans and applicable code regulations.

Boley’s first day as director will be Tuesday, February 21.
