The Starke County Commissioners heard bids from three separate companies for the 2022-2 Community Crossings Grant Project during their meeting Monday.
The project is from County Road North 600 East from 130 South of County Road East 600 North involving 1.955 miles in total. The total bid from Rieth-Riley came in at $305,511.60. The next bid read was from Milestone Contractors North out of South Bend in the amount of $364,740.10. The last bid was from E&B Paving in the amount of $327,603.10.
The bids were taken under advisement and up for approval later during the meeting. A motion was made to approve Rieth-Riley’s bid of $305,511.60. That motion was seconded and passed unanimously by vote.
