The Knox Board of Works approved the hire of a new resource officer during their meeting Wednesday.
Knox City Police Chief Harold Smith asked board of works members for their approval in hiring Mike Elam as the department’s resource officer.
Board of works member Jim Collins made a motion to approve the hire. Steve Dodge seconded that motion. The motion passed unanimously approving the hire of Mike Elam to the Knox City Police Department.
