Pulaski County Council Vice-President Adam Loehmer announced Monday he will be resigning from the council.
Loehmer said when he ran for county council three years ago, he did not know he would have some opportunities that have been presented. He added he has been asked to help coach some of his children’s sport’s teams and is also the commissioner of the youth football league. He added some other opportunities have come up that he would like to explore as well.
Loehmer said his life has changed and his current priority is making sure he doesn’t miss important time with his children. He thanked the council and appreciated those who had voted for him. He added he will be turning in his official resignation letter to the clerk’s office this Friday.
Council President Ken Boswell stated a caucus would be schedule after the resignation is filed to fill the soon-to-be vacant seat.
