The Starke County Commissioners approved the GIS Limited Use Agreement during their meeting Monday.
It was announced South Shore GIS would like to access the county’s mapping files for planning and analysis for moving forward with the non-profit, Shirley Heinz Land Trust.
The Shirley Heinz Land Trust works to preserve and restore natural lands and waters in Northwestern Indiana. The commissioners made a motion to approve permission in allowing the mapping files to be shared with South Shore GIS. That motion was seconded and passed unanimously by vote.
