The Eastern Pulaski School Board approved a Promethean board project during their meeting Monday.
Superintendent Dara Chezem told WKVI News the corporation currently has projectors in every classroom that are at the end of their lifespan. She said the board looked at several different upgrade options the corporation could make to enhance collaboration with students.
Chezem stated the board found interactive display units that are essentially a 75 inch iPad. She added teachers will be able to record their lessons giving students the opportunity to listen back at a later time. She added representatives of the interactive displays gave the board a demonstration of all capabilities the 75 inch panels can do.
After the demonstration, the board approved the purchase of the interactive displays for the entire district. Superintendent Chezem stated the total cost of the project is $337,873. She added a grant that had been approved in March will cover $99,602 of the total amount. She added the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (ESSER) and the Operations Fund will cover the remaining cost.
