Mayor Dennis Estok announced the City of Knox’s Spring Clean-Up “Dumpster Days” will be held later this month.
The mayor stated during Tuesday’s city council meeting, the Dumpster Days will run on Saturday, April 29 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, April 30 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. CT.
Dumpsters will be located in Wythogan Park at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. City of Knox residents may discard large bulky items that cannot be picked up on normal garbage days. Residents will be required to provide a valid driver’s license or I.D. and a current Knox utility bill in order to dispose of their items.
Regular trash, yard waste, tires, electronics, refrigerators or any items that contain Freon, paint of any kind, household hazardous waste, and medical waste will not be accepted.
