The Pulaski County Council heard from Sheriff Chris Schramm during their meeting last week.
Sheriff Schramm stated there is an HVAC issue at the 911 call center. He added there are three HVAC units being used with one of the units needing replaced. Schramm stated there is tens of thousands of dollars in equipment where the HVAC unit in question is used.
Schramm said he would like to put a down payment on the replacement. He added they must pay 50 percent down in order to have the HVAC unit replaced. That amount was mentioned as $10,750. He stated after 30 days of the installation the remainder of the balance would need to be paid.
Schramm told the council he had spoke with Community Development Commission Executive Director Nathan Origer where the $10,750 could come from the Justice Center project’s leftover funds. He went on to ask the council to approve those funds to be used for the HVAC unit replacement.
The council made a motion to approve the 50 percent down payment from the left over funds within the justice center project. A second on that motion was made with the council voting unanimously to approve.
