The Starke County Commissioners and Council members both heard from Community Services of Starke County Executive Director Cindy Benke during their meeting Monday.
Director Benke asked the commissioners and council members to approve $10,000 from ARPA funds to restock the Community Services of Starke County food pantry. She stated their main provider is the Northern Indiana Food Bank out of South Bend. She added they used to receive four pallets worth of goods but have recently only been given two.
The Starke County Commissioners and the Starke County Council both approved the $10,000 to the Community Services of Starke County. It was noted the money will come out of ARPA.
