The Starke County Commissioners reaffirmed their appointment to the Hospital Board last week.
In a previous meeting it was brought to the attention of the commissioners there was potentially a conflict of interest in their choice. They had planned to appoint Dolores Bennett.
Starke County Attorney Justin Schramm was asked to look into the situation. It was noted by the commissioners in their meeting last week Schramm had found nothing that would make their choice a conflict.
The commissioners made a motion to reaffirm their choice. That motion was seconded and passed unanimously by vote keeping Dolores Bennett on the Hospital Board.
