The Starke County Council decided to move their start time and meeting day each month during Monday’s council meeting.
It was discussed the current time and day creates conflicts for the county attorney and citizens. Council President Dave Pearman suggested having the meeting on a different day of the week to accommodate everyone’s schedule.
It was also discussed the council should move the start time later in the evening to accommodate Starke County citizens in hopes they are able to be more present at these meetings. The council voted to move the Starke County Council meeting to the third Thursday of each month and start at 6 p.m. CT. The council approved the date and time change unanimously by vote.
