The Knox City Council will consider approving the first reading of amendments to the peddler ordinance during their meeting tonight.
In a previous meeting, the council talked about potentially amending the ordinance to allow vendors to set up one day per week. The council considered offering three month, six month and one year permits to vendors interested in setting up year round. At that meeting the council was open to the idea in allowing food truck vendors to set up year round but once per seven days. The first reading of the amendments will be up for approval tonight.
In other buisness the council is expecting reports from Clerk-Treasurer Cyndi Kidder and Mayor Dennis Estok. The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT at Knox City Hall.
