The Pulaski County Commissioners opened ambulance bids during their meeting Monday.
The first bid opened was from Crossroad Ambulance Sales and Service LLC in the amount of $258,967. The second and final bid came from Fire Service Inc. at $255,263. Emergency Medical Services Director Brandon DeLorenzo told WKVI news the EMS department will be retiring two ambulances from their fleet. He added the current bids are for one brand new ambulance that is on a Ford chassis.
The commissioners took both bids under advisement during their meeting Monday. It was noted they will go over both bids in more detail to make sure they approve the right bid at a future meeting.
