The Pulaski County Council was given a Sheriff’s department update during their meeting Monday.
Pulaski County Sheriff Chris Schramm stated his department had a deputy leave within the last month. He added he was fortunate enough to find someone and hire them since that time. He said the individual has two-and-a-half years of experience. Schramm stated he would like to have the new hire start in the two-year salary matrix in order to retain him and keep him.
Sheriff Schramm asked the council to approve the new hire be part of the two-year matrix program. A motion was made and seconded. The council unanimously approved the motion by vote.
