Starke County Commissioners Approve Computer Purchase

The Starke County Commissioners discussed purchasing computers during their meeting last week.

Starke County Auditor Rachel Oesterreich told the commissioners the Starke County Maintenance Department’s computers are outdated. She added the Auditor’s Office would like to give two of their more current computers to the maintenance department for them to have better equipment to work with.

Oesterreich told the commissioners her department currently has seven somewhat new computers. She asked the commissioners to purchase two brand new computers for the Auditor’s Office in order to give two of their current computers to maintenance.

The total amount needed for both new computers came in at $1,798.38. The commissioners made a motion to approve the purchase. That motion was seconded and passed unanimously by vote.
