Starke County Commissioners Approve EMS Expense

The Starke County Commissioners heard from Starke County EMS Director Larry Brock during their meeting last week.

Director Brock asked the commissioners for $3,800 to repair or replace the furnace at the North Judson station. Brock stated the furnace quit the week before. He said the unit is 20 years old and has been there since the building was built. He went on to say parts are not available to fix the the furnace due to its age.

Commissioner Don Binkley made a motion to approve the $3,800 from the Cumulative Capital Fund. That motion was seconded by commissioner Mark Gourley. The commissioners voted unanimously and approved the $3,800 for the EMS department.
