The Starke County Commissioners heard an update from Starke County Highway Superintendent Dan Dipert during their meeting last week.
Dipert announced the Highway Department is one driver short for their staff. He added he is scheduling interviews to fill the position and hopes to have it filled soon.
Dipert went on to say they currently have seven part time individuals that will work during mowing season as well as three mechanics on staff.
