The Starke County Council discussed scheduling budget workshops during their meeting last week.
The council plans to meet with office holders and department heads for a budget planning workshop in July before full negotiations start this fall. Starke County Council President Dave Pearman announced the workshop is planned for Monday, July 3 at 9 a.m. CT.
The workshop is anticipated to create discussions on how to trim the budget.
