Starke County residents pursuing higher education are encouraged to apply for three summer scholarships through the Starke County Community Foundation.
The Back Home Again in Indiana Scholarship supports non-traditional students who wish to pursue higher education and or training to enhance their skills for employment. Non-traditional students include those who have graduated from high school or obtained a GED and have delayed entrance into college, rather than earning a degree immediately after high school.
The Megan Elytha Jean Sahlhoff Music Scholarship provides scholarships to North Judson-San Pierre students who are planning to study music or a related field.
The Forrest and Helen Whitson Scholarship provides scholarships to sophomores and higher-level Purdue University students in the school of Engineering, Agriculture, or Consumer and Family Living and who also graduated from a Starke County High School.
