Knox School Board Approves First Reading of Special Education Service Agreement

The Knox School Board went through the first reading of the Special Education Service Agreement during their meeting last week.

It was announced the board has been in communication with North Judson-San Pierre and Oregon-Davis School Corporations in preparation of the next step after JESSE. The JESSE program will no longer be available to area schools after the 2023-2024 school year. It has been discussed the three schools are hoping to work together in providing Special Education services to Starke County.

Knox Community School Corporation Interim Superintendent Ross Sloat entertained a motion to approve the first reading of the agreement. A motion was made and seconded. The board then approved the first reading and hope to move forward with approval of the second and final reading at their next meeting.
