The Knox Community School Board approved their 2023-2024 school year registration dates during their meeting Tuesday.
It was announced Tuesday, July 18 and Wednesday, July 19 registration will be open for the Elementary, Middle and High Schools. Registration will be open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. CT on July 18 and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. CT on July 19.
Students enrolling in kindergarten must be five years old on or before October 1, 2023. New students to the Knox Community School Corporation are reminded to bring their social security number, birth certificate, immunization records and proof of residency to register.
Students who are transferring should have copies of their previous school records and transcripts. If previous records and transcripts are not obtained, parents will be asked to sign a release of records form.
Immunizations are available at the Starke County Health Department located at 108 North Pearl Street in Knox every Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. CT. Call the Starke County Health Department at 574-772-9137 to schedule an appointment and obtain information on fees for immunizations.
Applications for Free or Reduced lunches and breakfasts may be made at registration. Individuals eligible for Free or Reduced lunches and breakfasts are also eligible for free textbooks. This does not include additional fees.
