The Pulaski County Commissioners and Council heard an update on the housing project during their joint meeting Monday.
Pulaski County Community Development Commission (CDC) Executive Director Nathan Origer stated he suspects they will proceed with the county owned property they have been considering for both cost effectiveness and time but wanted to exhaust every option before the county crosses the point of no return.
Origer said as they move forward with early development efforts on the catalyst site with the housing resource hub, they will also be connecting with owners of a few properties that are in partial states of development. He stated while they don’t meet the criteria of this particular site, the county could help bridge the gap to make some assets and resources the hub has available to them in hopes to fill some of their lots.
A time table on the early development stage was not mentioned but the commissioners and council are still pushing forward to make this project a reality in Pulaski County.
