Starke County Commissioners Approve Additional EMS Expense

The Starke County Commissioners heard from newly appointed Starke County EMS Director James Garner during their meeting last week.

Director Garner announced additional funds would be needed for a project approved by the commissioners under the previous EMS Director.

In a previous meeting the commissioners approved $3,800 to repair or replace the furnace at the EMS Department’s North Judson station. Garner stated the bill received from the company was much higher than the commissioners had approved for. He added another $3,750 would need to be approved as the total cost came out to be $7,550.

A motion to approve the $3,750 was made. That motion was seconded and passed unanimously by vote.
