The Eastern Pulaski School Corporation’s athletic field expansion project is taking shape on campus.
It has been announced this athletic field expansion project includes moving the softball field closer to the baseball field. It is proposed, the practice football field running north and south be made to run east and west allowing the current parking area near the baseball field to be expanded for both the baseball and softball fields to have more adequate parking.
Eastern Pulaski School Superintendent Dara Chezem told WKVI News the practice football field has been set and irrigated. She added dirt is being moved in place for the expanded parking lot to be done. Chezem mentioned footers have gone in for the dugouts at the new softball field as well as a concession stand.
Superintendent Chezem said the project is still on track to be completed by September. It is expected the new softball field will be ready for the spring season of 2024.
