Kid’s Closet was the recipient of a $3,500 grant through the Starke County Community Foundation’s Women’s Giving Circle The Hive.
Inspired by the incredible work that Kid’s Closet does to help local families, the donor-advisor for the Hardesty Memorial Endowment Fund at SCCF provided an additional grant for $3,000 leading to a total of $6,500 awarded to Kid’s Closet.
In addition to helping local children receive clothing through this ministry, Kid’s Closet prepares students for going back to school! On Sunday, July 16 and Monday, July 17, Kid’s Closet will be at the North Judson United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. CT for their annual Pack-a-Backpack event.
A parent or guardian must be present, registration is required upon arrival and families must qualify for free and reduced lunch to be eligible to receive a backpack. If you have any questions, contact North Judson United Methodist Church at 574-896-5927.
