The Knox City Council discussed a resolution to accept and authorize an equipment donation and agreement with the Starke County Commissioners during their meeting Tuesday.
Knox Mayor Dennis Estok stated the commissioners have donated an older ambulance to the city. He added if approved, the ambulance would be placed at the Knox City Volunteer Fire Department south side Fire Station #2 for the use of housing water rescue equipment as well as other technical equipment.
Mayor Estok said the ambulance is still in good shape and is perfect for what the fire department needs in terms of housing their equipment. A motion was made to accept and authorize the equipment donation and agreement with the Starke County Commissioners. That motion was seconded and passed unanimously by vote.
