Knox School Board Approves Special Education Services Agreement

The Knox School Board went through the second and final reading of the Special Education Service Agreement during their meeting last week.

In a previous meeting it was announced the board has been in communication with North Judson-San Pierre and Oregon-Davis School Corporations in preparation of the next step after JESSE. The JESSE program will no longer be available to area schools after the upcoming 2023-2024 school year. It has been discussed the three schools are hoping to work together in providing Special Education services to Starke County.

Knox Community School Corporation Interim Superintendent Ross Sloat told WKVI News a motion was made to approve the service agreement. That motion seconded and passed unanimously by vote.
