The Knox School Board is expected to approve the hire of their new superintendent during tonight’s meeting.
In a previous meeting, the board approved an administrative contract for Greg Mikulich in efforts for him to become the next superintendent. A public hearing was held last week where no public comment was given. The school board will now be able to approve the hire of Mikulich tonight.
The proposed basic salary for Mikulich is $120,000 with the board’s contribution of health, vision and dental insurance costs, along with long-term disability insurance, term life insurance, tax sheltered annuity, and Social Security. The superintendent would receive 15 days of paid vacation per year, and 11 paid holidays.
Student handbook revisions are also on the agenda for the board to discuss. Corporation Treasurer Kasey Clark will provide the board with an update on the 2024 budget process and timeline. A Memorandum of Understanding with Vincennes University for a dual credit program is up for approval.
The Knox Community School Board will meet at 6:00 p.m. CT tonight in the Administration Office at 2 Redskin Trail.
