The North Judson-San Pierre School Board has hired an administrative assistant to help with day-to-day operations while the corporation works toward filling the vacant superintendent position.
School Board President Derrick Stalbaum told WKVI News, Kelly Shepherd has been hired as an administrative assistant to do most of the duties a superintendent would do while they continue the process. He added two highly qualified applicants were heavily considered for the position.
Stalbaum stated the board has officially offered the job to one of the two candidates and that individual has accepted pending a public hearing on the superintendent’s contract. He went on to say that public hearing has been scheduled for Tuesday, August 8.
Once the public hearing is complete, Stalbaum said the board will then approve the hire of the new superintendent during their regular meeting scheduled on Tuesday, August 15.
