Pulaski County Commissioners Approve Mini Excavator Purchase

The Pulaski County Commissioners discussed upgrading the county’s mini excavator with Highway Superintendent Gary Kruger during their meeting Monday.

Kruger announced he had received three quotes for the commissioners to consider. The first quote mentioned came from Kobelco in the amount of $68,370.90. Kruger mentioned that quote involves a trade-in with their current mini excavator. The second quote came from RPM in the amount of $83,147 and the final bid came from MacAllister in the amount of $96,785.

Kruger formally asked the commissioners to approve the lowest bid offered with trade-in from Kobelco. Commissioner Maurice Loehmer made a motion to move forward with the trade-in and purchase from Kobelco. Commissioner Chuck Mellon seconded that motion. The commissioners approved the trade-in and purchase unanimously by vote.
