The La Porte County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a shooting incident in Michigan City.
In a press release from the La Porte County Sheriff’s Department, deputies located one gunshot victim on the scene at 300 Woodsedge Drive. Their investigation revealed the victim was an employee of the location’s complex contracted lawn maintenance company.
It is reported the victim was approached on foot by a male subject who began shooting at the victim. The press release stated the victim sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to one of their hands. The Sheriff’s Department went on to say the shooter entered a nearby vehicle that left the complex traveling north on Woodland Avenue.
