Starke County Commissioners Approve Ambulance Maintenance

The Starke County Commissioners discussed ambulance maintenance with EMS Director James Garner during their meeting Monday.

Director Garner explained to the commissioners ambulance 3308 stationed in North Judson had been serviced last week. He stated it had been 17,000 miles since it had been serviced before that. Garner told the commissioners shocks, struts, axle bearings and brakes will all need to be replaced on the ambulance. He went on to say the total price for the maintenance would cost the county $2,963.76.

Commissioner Don Binkley made a motion to approve the repairs using funds from the Cumulative Capital Fund. That motion was seconded by Commissioner Mark Gourley. The commissioners approved the repairs unanimously by vote.
