The Oregon-Davis School Board heard an update on the HVAC project during their meeting Wednesday.
Over the summer of 2022, the HVAC system at Oregon-Davis School Corporation underwent an analysis in order to understand what the operating needs were. In December of 2022, the school board approved the hiring of JMA Architects to provide professional architectural and engineering services for the HVAC Project at the Elementary and Jr./Sr. High School.
In a previous story, Superintendent Bill Bennett told WKVI News, JMA Architects advised the board to consider re-bidding the project due to not having as many contractors interested. Bennett stated the board as a collective decided to re-bid the project under the advisement of JMA Architects.
During Wednesday’s meeting, Bennett said the corporation has received several bids for them to consider. He added JMA Architects are going through each bid received to make sure they are accurate before they are brought before the board for approval.
The school board is expected to have bids up for approval at a future meeting.
