The Eastern Pulaski School Corporation’s athletic field expansion project is one step closer to being complete.
It was announced earlier this year, the project includes construction of a new softball field close to the current baseball field. The practice football field which ran north and south now runs east and west and the current parking lot near the baseball field was expanded for more adequate parking.
Eastern Pulaski School Superintendent Dara Chezem told WKVI News work continues to progress. She stated the parking lot is completely finished and has been striped. She added the new concession stand is up and is in the process of getting siding put on. She stated both dugouts for the softball field have been built and the ball diamond is having the final touches done within the next couple of weeks.
Superintendent Chezem said the project is still on track to be completed well before the spring season. It is expected the athletic field expansion project will be complete by the end of October.
