The Pulaski County Council held a public hearing on the county’s proposed 2024 budget during their meeting Monday.
Council President Ken Boswell opened the public hearing by reading each expense expected for Pulaski County during 2024. The major funds include the General Fund which is advertised at about $9.5 million, Highway Special Fund at about $2 million, Local Road and Street at $240,000, Motor Vehicle Highway Fund at about $2.5 million, Cumulative Bridge Fund at $780,000, Cumulative Capital Development Fund at $311,300, Economic Development Income Tax (CEDIT) Fund at about $1.8 million, the LOIT B Public Safety County Share is about $1.4 million, and the American Rescue Plan Act Fund is at about $2.4 million.
Boswell stated all funds listed totals $26,597,113. The hearing was then opened to the public for comment with no comment given. The public hearing was then closed and the council plans to have the proposed 2024 budget up for adoption at their next meeting.
