The Starke County Council had the 2024 budget up for approval during their meeting last week.
According to the Indiana Gateway Website, the total amount of the Starke County 2024 budget is estimated to be $23,235,929. During their previous meeting the council held a public hearing. No comments were made during that meeting and the council announced they would have the budget up for adoption at their next meeting.
Starke County Council President Dave Pearman entertained a motion to adopt the 2024 budget. A motion was made and seconded. The majority of the council voted in favor with Councilwoman Cassandra Hine abstaining. The budget was adopted by majority vote.
